For Immediate Release

Dane Rudolph set to Race for ANZAC Day

Young Australian Dane Rudolph is all fired up for a good result at ACE Speedway in 24 hours following the accident last meeting that resulted in heavy damage to the number 18 Monte Carlo Chevrolet. The team has worked tirelessly to repair the damage, rolling the car out of the transporter for a shake down run only a few hours ago. With Dane doing primarily systems checks to make sure everything was OK for the race meeting the guys were really happy with the repairs, and more importantly the speed.

With time zone delays, even though the race is still 24 hours away, the date of April 25th for this event is significant for many Australians including Dane, and as such the team has decided to run a special logo designed specifically as a mark of respect for our Nations most sombre of public holidays, ANZAC Day. "This is something as a team we thought of doing the second we saw the calendar for 2008" said Rudolph following the shake down test. "It is such an important day for many Australians, including my own family, and we thought in our own small way competing on the other side of the world, we still needed to observe the day somehow" continued Rudolph.

"We approached the Returned Services League of Australia to ask them for assistance and they were fantastic in their support, so hopefully not only will they like what we have done, if we get a good result it will make it so much more special."

With many countries allocating a day of remembrance as a mark of respect for the many service men and women who have served in conflicts throughout the world, ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corp) Day is Australia's day of remembrance. With April 15 1915 being the first day of action under the banner of ANZAC, where service personnel first set foot on a beach now known as ANZAC Cove in Gallipoli, the day has been declared a gazetted public holiday in both Australia and New Zealand for well over 80 years now.

With the shake down test showing an improvement in pace, the team is really excited about the prospects of a good result, and with Dane's rapid improvements every time he steps into the car, confidence is high going into today's race. The event itself is scheduled for 100 laps on the 4/10 mile oval circuit in Altamahaw North Carolina, it will be the 4th on the program for 2008 for Dane Rudolph Motorsports. To date Dane Rudolph is showing results of a 7th place finish first up, the 2nd event was cancelled due to weather, the 3rd event result in a DNF, a strong showing is essential for the championship which is over 22 rounds in total.

Lest we Forget.
